Kenzie broken arm

Well, Mackenzie was finally trying the monkey bars all by herself and she fell and broke her arm :(  She had been trying them with me helping and she finally said she could do it so I walked away and that is when she fell.  I took her to the ER and they put a splint on.  The next day she had to be put asleep to set the bone and cast it.  She did awesome with the procedure.  All of the staff told her she was the best kid patient they ever had.  She was very proud of herself for being so brave.  Kenzie was very upset that she can't do gymnastics for a few months and cant do soccer too.  Her mood was very sad.  As a parent it is the hardest thing I have watched because she really is sad.  However, she has some of the best friends and family to help get her out of her funk.  I was very surprised by the flood of love, cards, visitors and gifts.  Everyone has made her feel so special!!  We are truly blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives!!!

Tatum brought her a cute BFF picture frame with pictures of them in it and Marley brought balloons :)

Flowers from Oma and Opa

Kenna and Deegan brought a flower and a bag of crafts!

This is her Gymnastics friend Allison.  She made cookies and gave her a pep talk!

a Gymnastics mom made this cool peace sign sling :)

Papa and Cece sent these!

Auntie sent lip gloss and a math workbook....and a cute picture from her cousins.

Her friend Tatum wanted to try the sling...she wore it for a long time :)

grandma got her a peace sign watch

Uncle Tif sent a peace sign bear with a sling!  She takes it to the doctor with her and sleeps with it!

Riley was happy to get her cute bunny!

Aunt Cyndi sent a gift card and she picked out a kite and a ton of beads to make stuff for her friends.

All of her friends at gymnastics signing her cast.
Well, after 3 weeks of healing her bone was at a 32 degree angle so the doctor had to put pins in. She had her surgery yesterday and she is doing great.  I will write another post later about that surgery!  A huge thank you to all of you who have made this so much easier for my Mackenzie!  We are truly blessed to have you all in our lives!!

Hey Kenzie, that's a neat cast. How did u break ur arm. I have always wanted to have a cast to see what it feels like inside. Did u like wearing it and having people sign it. How bad did it hurt. Any more pics of your cast.
