We had a great Thanksgiving this year. My mom was able to come and spend the week with us which is always a good time. The girls love spending time with Grandma. Lewis was supposed to work in the afternoon/evening on Thanksgiving which was a bummer but I would rather him have to work a holiday or 2 then be deployed all the time. Anyways, it ended up that he didn't have to work, YAY! So this let us just hang out and spend quality time together. We started by watching the parade.

Then we had a light lunch. I made the girls sandwiches that looked liked turkey's. They gobbled them up so fast..lol!
We played outside, played games, and had a great big turkey dinner. All in all it was a great day! I am so thankful for my wonderful family! I also want to share a little fun project that my mom and I did with the girls.
We made these Turkey cookies. The top ones were kind of hard so we started doing the bottom ones after awhile. The girls had a blast making them :)
